The scope of Online Communipedia is to document the existence, governance, history, and events of online gaming organizations. All pages produced on this project must be created within this scope.

Private communities

Per this project's policy on preserving the informational security of communities, a community designated as private in nature may not have an article created about it. This supersedes the below criterion.

Criteria

In order for an organization to be included on this project they must meet all of the following criterion. All criterion must be shown through adherance to the policy on verification.

  1. The organization or community must have existed for at least 12 months and have at least 150 members.
    1. "Members" is defined as individuals registered to a website or communications platform (e.g TeamSpeak 3, Discord). Followers or subscribers to social media platforms (e.g Reddit, Twitter, Facebook) do not count towards inclusion.
  2. The organization or community should possess some kind of rank or governmental structure that works to maintain the community's decorum, set standards, and enforce policies.
  3. The organization or community must have some presence on the internet that can be retrieved even if the community shuts down.
    1. This is most commonly performed by https://web.archive.org/, but any suitable alternative may suffice
    2. This criterion may be satisified if 3 or more files used as sources are uploaded and pass review prior to page creation.
  4. The organization or community must be an amalgamation of persons desiring to play video games either through structured activities, the dedicated hosting of servers, the theme of the community's platform, and/or the publically stated intent of the community's existence.
