This page documents an Online Communipedia policy. It describes facets of project governance or standards that all editors need to follow. |
The scope of Online Communipedia is to document the existence, governance, history, and events of online gaming organizations and any peripheral entities and definitions that are directly related to such organizations. All pages produced on this project must be created within this scope.
Criteria for organizations
- The organization or community must have existed for at least 12 months and have at least 50 members.
- "Members" is defined as individuals registered to a website or communications platform (e.g TeamSpeak 3, Discord). Followers or subscribers to social media platforms (e.g Reddit, Twitter, Facebook) do not count towards inclusion.
- The organization or community should possess some kind of rank or governmental structure that works to maintain the community's decorum, set standards, and enforce policies (if applicable).
- The organization or community must have some presence on the internet that can be retrieved even if the community shuts down.
- This is most commonly performed by https://web.archive.org/, but any suitable alternative may suffice.
Criteria for definitions
- The definition must serve to assist in explaining community structure or governance; or
- The definition must be that of an aspect within a video game in the event that no reasonable external source does an adequate job explaining it.
- "External source" can be anything, including official materials released by the game's developers or any fan created resource.
