The community uses the proprietary software "Prometheus" found on the Garry's Mod store for collecting donations. It acts as a backend connecting a database to 1 or many Garry's Mod servers while simultaneously providing a front-end for customers to make purchases.[4][5]
Purchasable items are separated by gamemode. There are presently 4 categories: Trouble in Terrorist Town, Murder, Prop Hunt, and Death Run.[6] Each category allows the customer to purchase PointShop[b] points, Premium[c] points, and/or the in-game rank of "Donor" (which includes PointShop and Premium points). All purchases are 1-time. The rank of Donor notably grants access to the commands gag, mute,[d] and kick in-game.[7]

Footnotes
- ↑ Derived from the oldest message available on the Discord server.
- ↑ A popular Garry's Mod addon that allows players to accumulate server-specific currency ("points") based on playtime and in-game actions. Points can then be spent on things which server owners configure. Traditionally these include player models, increased chances for desirable roles in a gamemode, etc.
- ↑ The Garry's Mod addon "PointShop 2" - the sequel to it's predecessor "PointShop" - introduced the "Premium" variation of points that exists alongside the original version. Server owners have free reign over what each currency can purchase. In practice, the "Premium" variation is usually obtained exclusively through donating real-world money, and is used for more exotic customization/better in-game benefits.
- ↑ A "gag" disables use of voice chat for the player. A "mute" disables use of text chat for the player.
