This template is used in accordance with the project's policy on using media as a source and is mandatory when tagging relevant files.

Parameters

Mandatory

  • auth= - Determines whether the media is marked as authenticated or not. Use y or n.

Other

  • article= - The article name, in plain text, that the media is being used at.
  • date= - The date authentication was last performed.
  • auther= - The name of the user who performed authentication in plain text.
  • auth_rank= - The position of the authenticator. Use sysop, admin or authenticator.

Administrator and authenticator instructions

Once auth= is changed to y a category is going to be added to the file called [[Category:Media used as a source at {{{article}}}]] where {{{article}}} is the article's title in the template.

If the link is red, you will need to create this category page and add the page to the category [[Category:Authenticated media by page]]. Review Wikipedia:Categorization for information on how to do this. If the link is blue, you are good to go.
