The scope of the Online Community Wiki is to document the existence, governance, history, and events of specific online gaming organizations and any peripheral entities, organizations, or terms that are directly related to such organizations. All pages produced on this project must be created within this scope.

Criteria for organizations

  1. The organization or community must have existed for at least 12 months and have at least 50 members.
    • "Members" is defined as individuals registered to a website or communications platform (e.g TeamSpeak 3, Discord). Followers or subscribers to social media platforms (e.g Reddit, Twitter, Facebook) do not count towards inclusion.
  2. The organization or community should possess some kind of rank or governmental structure that works to maintain the community's decorum, set standards, and enforce policies (if applicable).
  3. The organization or community must be run by individuals that are not directly paid by a corporate entity to maintain a service wherein the maintaining of that service is their primary claim to inclusion.

Criteria for terms

  1. The term must be exclusively used by online communities or have a specific colloquial use if the term has more generic meanings attached (e.g administrator).

Frequent violations of scope

The following are always out of scope for this project.

  • An article about a person, regardless of their impact or prominence to a particular community.
