This template is used in accordance with the project's [[P:UOCM|policy on using copyrighted material]] and '''is mandatory''' when attributing material unless otherwise noted in said policy.

The invocation of this template should be on the talk page of an article in a section titled <code>Copyright attribution</code> or similar. This section should remain at the top of the article beneath any other kind of template (e.g [[Template:Internal opsec]]). '''It must never be archived'''.

Every invocation must be signed, so place <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code> at the end.
